I’ve had an interesting month so far and I learned many things. I’ve laughed a lot and cried more then I have in years. I learned how to love people in a new way, and I’ve realized how deep God’s love really is. (Is that actually really possible? I don’t think so…but I sure learned how deep into my heart it goes, and the deeper it goes, the more it touches me) I learned many things the hard way. Most of what I learned as a “learning lesson,” a story behind it. What I learned most is that life is like going on a random adventure. It’s exciting, and you never know what’s going to happen next. It’s spontaneous a lot of the time so your plans can change and “mess up” you’re route, but wait…is it really a mess up if it was a spontaneous venture in the first place? Along the way something might break down and slow up your journey, it dampens your mood; maybe tears come because you don’t know how to fix it. But you do…it just might take time and as soon as you start along the path again, it’s even more thrilling and exhilarating then before because you’ve already gone through the hard time; you know what to expect next time something comes from that direction. You’re prepared. You’re happy. And ready to be on your way. The thing that broke down is fixed and even more strong then it was before…so it can’t brake now for a long, long time…this means that the next stretch of your trip is going to be more smooth in that area. That’s good. You can breathe a sigh of relief. Hmmm…I read through that and realized I said “you” again. I’ve actually noticed that a lot of times when I write these black words on this empty, white page I use the word ‘you’ and not ‘I’…actually, lots of people who write things down do…is it cuz we don’t want people to see who we really are? I mean, it does apply to all of us; this adventure/life journey is really what we’re all going through. But this time, the “you” in those words is “I”…and I’ve finally been able to breathe that sigh of relief. It totally broke down, just seemed to burst open and come apart…but I fixed it. And now I know what to do next time the storm hits.
